The United States Government has identified a Chinese “spy” balloon in the airspace above Montana. The projected trajectory shows the balloon traveling throughout the United States in a straight line, eventually exiting into the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of North Carolina. The Pentagon says they do not plan on shooting the balloon down due to the impact that a debris field could cause on the ground below. The balloon is large and appears like another planet to people on the ground below. The Chinese Communist Party insists that the balloon is not malevolent. They say it is a civilian weather balloon that was blown off track by strong wind and accidentally wound up in U.S. airspace.
