Federal agents have arrested Boston City Councilor Tania Fernandes Anderson over allegations of improper use of taxpayer revenue. In the alleged kickback scheme, Fernandes Anderson is accused of improperly hiring family members and giving them bonuses, of which she took a percentage. The now-arrested councilor would allegedly receive the kickbacks in cash money in a bathroom of the Capitol building. Federal agents intercepted text messages and emails that easily lay out the case against her. Fernandes Anderson has previously gone viral for a video in which she ranted and raved about not being treated fairly because she is a black woman.
