A Florida pizza delivery driver attacked a woman at a hotel over a “low” tip for the food. The pizza cost $33 dollars and the customer paid in cash upon the driver’s arrival. The driver was given a $50 bill and was asked for change. This caused a conflict and the customer wound up searching for tip money, only able to come up with $2.
The conflict, however, was not resolved by the tip. The driver, Brianna Alvelo, returned to the hotel with a man armed with a firearm. Alvelo and the armed man force their way into the customer’s room. The man holds three people at gunpoint while Alvelo is rummaging through property in the room.
At a certain point during this home invasion, the customer attempts to shield her child. This prompts Alvelo to stab her 14 times. Luckily, the woman survives and is informed that she is pregnant while being treated for stab wounds at the hospital. Alvelo was captured and hit with a litany of violent offenses while the armed man is still on the loose as of the writing of this article.
