Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has resigned as leader of the country’s Liberal Party. This effectively places an end to his time as Prime Minister after 9 years. He was the leader of the party for 11 years. His resignation, however, is not quite effective immediately. There will need to be a replacement found and confirmed. After that, Trudeau will be out. The latest his replacement could happen is October, which is the next election in Canada. This news comes on the heels of constant internal strife, including a ton of staff resignations. One key issue that Trudeau faced recently was the 25% tariff on Canada proposed by United States president-elect Donald Trump.
