CNN contributor Ashley Allison recently alluded to the Barack Obama White House having issues with racism. She made the comments during an episode of CNN’s News Night, a roundtable debate panel hosted by Abby Phillip, who is a black woman. Allison, also a black woman, says she has always been the least paid person at every institute she has been part of. One of the panelists asked her if that includes the White House and she said yes. Allison worked under the Barack Obama and Joe Biden administrations. Therefore, one would presume she is accusing both administrations of some form of racism due to not paying her fairly because she is a black woman.

Such claims are routinely made about pay disparities due to race and gender but they are often unproven. And if an employer was able to get the same productivity and teamwork from an employee for 20% lower cost than all others, then the logical thing to do would be to hire more of those same people. Such a large payroll expense would be too good for any sound-minded business person to pass up.
