V.P. Vance and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to meet with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy
The push to bring the Russian-Ukrainian war to an end is in full swing. President Trump is sending Vice President J.D. Vance and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to Ukraine on Friday to speak with President Zelenskyy. Bessent will discuss sanctions, rare earth minerals, and ask for an accounting of where previous U.S. funds have gone in assisting the country in the war effort, according to Fox News.
“We are going to have all this money in there, and I say I want it back. And I told them that I want the equivalent, like $500 billion worth of rare Earth,” Trump said in a Fox News interview on Monday. “And they have essentially agreed to do that, so at least we don’t feel stupid.”
