Chuck Schumer is going viral for a clip from “The View” in which he heavily criticized “wealthy” Americans who are reluctant to pay taxes. He attempted to imitate a conservative Republican businessman speaking about business. The “negative” talking points he mentioned centered around self-made businessmen keeping more of their own money instead of giving it to the Federal Government.

Schumer’s imitation was done in a mocking fashion, as if the ideals of conservative businessmen are backward and anti-American. In reality, nobody truly wants to pay taxes whether they be very rich, very poor, or somewhere in-between. And if Chuck Schumer wants Americans to become enthusiastic about paying taxes, then he must do something with taxpayer money other than essentially setting it on fire in front of their faces.

Schumer is having a bad few days as he is currently embroiled in a small civil war within the Democratic Party. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries has publicly called out the Senate Minority Leader for allowing Trump’s policies to push forward in the Senate. Truthfully, there is nothing Democrats in power can do on the Federal level other than infighting, as every branch of Government is controlled by Republicans.
