A political party cannot broaden its appeal if it demands that transgenderism is real, that individual people may define the meaning and the use of language, if incompetence, race or sex is purposefully promoted over superior talent, or the idea one must accept that human activity controls the weather. There are only so many fools in the crowd.
The Democrat Party ideology today is unyielding even when challenged by logic. For instance, how wide is the appeal of the argument America was founded and always has been a white state built on slavery? How popular and attractive is the assertion Christianity is the foundation of that slave state coupled with the sacrilege that humans can create new sexes?
Right now it is tax time, and as the American family comes face to face with the cost of government, the Democrat leadership is using the courts to prevent the Trump administration from reducing the financial burdens of that bloated bureaucracy. The Democrat position is that every dollar of that $36 trillion national debt was wisely spent.
Also, the Democrat Party is inching very close to “death to the Jews” foreign policy and to nuclear war.
So what is the attraction for Americans who work that 40-hour week?
How many times do Democrats have to tell Americans democracy is at stake if they do not support Democrats? How many times do Americans have to be told they cannot do what they always have done because climate change is a catastrophic threat? Mask up or else. No, you cannot visit your dying mother in the hospital. You cannot build there because an endangered weed was found on the property. Criminals should not be punished as they steal to survive. It is endless nonsense.
Rigid ideology has replaced human reason, compassion and common sense in what remains of the Democrat Party – so much so a sitting congressional Democrat ridicules a Republican governor who had the misfortune of having a crippling accident, and that woman still has a seat in the House of Representatives. Why? A person with such a self-demonstrated lack of humanity and judgment should be cleaning up dog kennels, not participating in the creation of laws governing a nation.
The Democrat Party problem is real, and may not be solvable. The party has wrapped itself in ideologies foreign to the American experience, and the essence of these ideologies is the rigidity each requires to survive.
Imagine the Democrat Party convention to discuss the future: In this corner we have the nuke Russia crowd, in the opposition corner the destroy Israel crowd. In the third corner we have the transgender crowd, and across them are the open-borders adherents who are now migrating to the idea of eliminating voter registration as a prelude to terminating the republic.
When a political party has nothing left to offer but really bad ideas, and its advocates refuse to accept any compromises, it is only a matter of time before the political obituary is written. The world was given a preview of a party blinded by ideology during President Trump’s address to Congress, as the ideologues refused to participate and engaged in sign-waving protests. Obviously, if Donald Trump said it, they opposed it.
What is not known about that impending political obituary is the name of the deceased. Will it be America, or will it be the Democrat Party? National survival demands two political parties that share one common purpose, the survival of the republic.
