An Augusta, Georgia father was arrested for leaving his children at a local McDonald’s during a job interview. The kids are ages 10, 6, and 1. The father, 24-year-old Chris Louis, reportedly left his kids in the play area around 4:30pm. The mother of the children arrived at about 6:18pm to retrieve them. The children were most likely observed roaming around without adult supervision and the police were called. Louis was then arrested by police for deprivation of a minor.

This story has sparked debate online about leaving kids of that age unattended and/or alone in a restaurant. Some say that this is totally fine and the kids were unharmed. Others say that this was a dangerous move done to try and game the system and avoid paying for a babysitter.
