(THE LIBERTY DAILY) – The United States has taken decisive action by revoking all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders, citing South Sudan’s persistent refusal to accept the repatriation of its citizens. This move underscores the Trump administration’s commitment to enforcing immigration laws and ensuring that nations cooperate in the return of their nationals.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that every country has an obligation under international law to accept the return of its citizens when they are subject to removal from another nation.
He stated, “Effective immediately, the United States Department of State is taking actions to revoke all visas held by South Sudanese passport holders and prevent further issuance to prevent entry into the United States by South Sudanese passport holders.”
