Jennifer Vasquez Sura, the wife of deported MS13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia, gave an interview to Michael Strahan on ABC. This story has become a political lightning rod due to reports of Garcia being “mistakenly” deported. There was not much revealed during the four minute and 45 second live stream interview with the wife. However, she did give at least one very interesting answer to a question. Strahan asked about the widely-reported fact that she took out an order of protection against her husband 2021. He inquired if she was in fear of her husband. She replied by saying that she’s glad he’s a live. Strahan did not press any further. Online speculation says that he was instructed not to by the higher ups.
A potential reason for the question of domestic violence from Kilmar Garcia being off-limits is quite easy to see. The media and leftists politicians need this man to be as clean as possible to serve as a sympathetic figure to the general public. This story has become a political football because of a court recommending that Garcia not be deported back to his native El Salvador because he would face retribution from gangs. However, Garcia has been involved in criminal activity in the United States and he is not a US citizen. The news media are framing the story as if the Trump administration deported a totally innocent man. In reality, he should have been deported and if he was to come back to the USA, he would end up right back where he is… a prison in El Salvador.
