Andrew Schulz exposed his “Brilliant Idiots” podcast co-star Charlamagne for supporting an institution that is akin to slavery. Or at least, an idea that sounds just like slavery. This discussion came about because of the news media’s coverage of tariffs and deportations.

Charlamagne made the point that the jobs that Trump are bringing back from overseas by way of tariffs should be done by the migrants. And if these factories (plantations) are to be built and worked by migrants (slaves) then the migrants won’t have to be deported. All of that made sense in Charlamagne’s mind. Andrew Schulz told him that his idea sounds a lot like slavery. Of course, Charlamagne denied saying such a thing or alluding to it, but the core concept of slavery and migrant labor is the same… saving money by producing a thing for the cheapest way possible.
