Former President Joe Biden has been diagnosed with advanced-stage prostate cancer. The cancer has reached Gleason 9, which is close to the very top which maxes out at 10. This score means that the cancer is aggressive and likely to spread throughout his bones, which it already has to a certain extent. Biden’s illness is treatable with radiation therapy and other methods, including surgery. However, many people are critical of this announcement due to someone of Biden’s importance obviously receiving regular health screenings. Most doctors recommend that men over age 50 start to get screened for this ailment that is unfortunately common among older men. It is unlikely that Joe Biden, age 82, hadn’t been screened for prostate cancer until now.
