Former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has left the Democratic Party and has become Independent. Her former colleagues immediately took to the media to trash her decision as a “grift” and purely self-serving. The announcement and the rollout of her book, unironically titled “Independent”, happened simultaneously. Jean-Pierre does not appear interested in becoming a conservative or anything close to it. In her book release announcement video, she sounded very similar to how she would sound while battling the likes of Peter Doocy from Fox News. She may be simply frustrated with how poorly the Democratic Party is run on a national level. There may be some angling here for her future run for President as the party doesn’t have many viable candidates to run up against conservatives.
