The alarming European trend of election interference to stop candidates who oppose the globalist eradication of the nation state and classic Christian values is very worrying.
Combined with the curbing of free speech for the general population and the rise of technocratic dominance that stifles dissenting opinions, the very foundation of European democracy is greatly threatened. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán recently provided a gloomy analysis of the EU as an intellectual misconception that has failed to protect traditional European values and sovereignty.
At the CPAC 2025 conference, he discussed the migration crisis as a deliberate socio-political strategy by the Marxist European Left to transform Europe’s conservative and traditional cultural and demographic landscape by introducing predominantly Muslim migrants who do not share Europe’s Christian heritage. Orbán argues that migration is fundamentally altering the political balance by diminishing the influence of native-born, Christian voters. This is done on purpose to weaken Europe. The aim is to create civil unrest and social chaos that will make Europe susceptible to accept a sort of communist, Stalinist tyranny, under the pretext of “reestablishing order.”
The EU’s foundational idea – that a supranational union can govern diverse nations without clear accountability – is deeply flawed. The EU regional socialist structure, introduced after World War II as National Socialism (NAZI) failed in Germany, has been highly influenced by atheist Marxist ideologies that openly have fought against Christian values for decades. Its liberalism has been that of a remarkable revolt against the indigenous Europe’s Christian heritage, traditional values, national sovereignty and free speech.
A recent interview with former U.K. Prime Minister Liz Truss delves into the alarming concerns about democracy, censorship and cultural shifts across Europe, particularly focusing on the U.K. and broader EU. It is well worth watching.
The former prime minister highlighted specific cases like Romania’s election cancellation, censorship of political figures such as Marine Le Pen in France, the ADF in Germany and the horrifying tales of suppression of free speech in Britain. In the United Kingdom, posting critical comments about immigrations may render you a prison sentence while severe crimes such as gang rapes and murders done by non-Western immigrants receive little attention.
The reluctance of British authorities to address crimes involving Muslim perpetrators due to fears of being labeled racist is shocking. This has been going on for decades. It was journalist Tommy Robinson who first began addressing these atrocities. In an interview with Jordan Peterson, Robinson speaks about the discrimination against whites in the U.K. Watch the interview here. For daring to address these crimes openly, Robinson has since 2014 been persecuted, imprisoned and had his name pulled through the dirt of mainstream media, covered in all kinds of Marxist slander designed to humiliate anyone who speaks up against the authoritarian left-wing narrative, such as “racist, homophobe, madman, xenophobe, nihilist, Muslim hater.” It showcases a trend where left-wing establishment forces across the EU now apply legal means to stifle opposition.
The entrenched left-wing elite, resistant to change that threatens their power, makes bleak the future of democratic pluralism in Europe, as the core democratic principle of allowing popular will to shape governance is denied.
Broader systemic failures come to surface, including political calculations that prioritize votes over justice and the neglect of economically deprived British towns transformed by migration and cultural isolation. The human rights framework in the U.K. (and across Europe) is particularly worrying because it disproportionately protects criminals over victims and law-abiding citizens. This is classic Marxist ideology that for decades has permeated the European political elites’ way of thinking.
Liz Truss suggests that simple methods would better the situation, such as restoration of judicial accountability. She points out that the U.K.’s Human Rights Act, originally designed to protect individual freedoms, has been exploited to shield criminals and complicate deportations, exemplified by cases where offenders remain in the country due to “right to family life” protections. This legal framework has also empowered an activist judiciary that operates with limited accountability, undermining traditional liberties and frustrating efforts to enforce immigration and criminal policies effectively.
A dominant technocratic mindset, particularly within institutions like the British Treasury, the European Commission, the IMF and World Economic Forum, enforces an outlook in which the voice of the people is actively neglected. Such a concentrated power structure lacks democratic accountability and fosters policies that persist regardless of electoral outcomes. The public frustration is seen all over Europe where demonstrations gather hundreds of thousands, yet the mainstream media hardly cover it. Europe’s survival depends on reclaiming democratic principles and internal unity, which is a far cry from reality today.
