An illegal Chinese immigrant who resided in Ontario, California, has been arrested for shipping weapons and other forms of technology to North Korea. This is troubling news especially after news of political upheaval in South Korea concerning a declaration (and immediate reversal) of Martial Law. The Chinese national, Shenghua Wen, allegedly helped North Korea obtain supplies to attack South Korea.
Wen reportedly arrived in the United States on a student visa in 2012. That visa has since expired and he has been in the country illegally ever since. While stateside, he created a company based in Texas with a Federal Firearms License. Through this arrangement, he was able to physically transport guns from Texas to California and then ship them off to North Korea through ports on the coast. He disguised the weapons and other forms of defensive/offensive technology as other items, such as refrigerators.
