Ghislaine Maxwell, the accomplice to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, refused to answer questions from Congress, but threw out an offer some may want to pursue.

Maxwell already has been convicted and is serving time for her activities with Epstein, whose files just were released by federal prosecutors and suggest a literal industry of pedophilia and child abuse.

During a scheduled deposition to Congress, she pleaded protection from the 5th Amendment against self-incrimination, which is her right.

But she suggested she’d be speaking “fully and honestly” if she were given clemency.

A report at NBC News said her appearance was before the House Oversight Committee, which is investigating Epstein and his related scandals.

The offer actually came from Maxwell’s lawyer.

“Only she can provide the complete account of Epstein’s actions,” explained lawyer David Oscar Markus.

“Some may not like what they hear, but the truth matters. For example, both President Trump and President Clinton are innocent of any wrongdoing. Ms. Maxwell alone can explain why, and the public is entitled to that explanation,” Markus said.

He explained Maxwell needs to refrain from comments for now because of a habeas petition pending before the courts.

The network noted, “Trump has not publicly ruled out pardoning Maxwell.”

Her conviction, for sex trafficking, came in 2021. She was sentenced to 20 years on the count.
