When protections for “LGBTQIA2S+” people just aren’t enough, the city of Olympia, Washington, has the answer: Special rights for the polyamorous, the nonmonogamous and more.
Actually the only category of “alternative” behavior that appears not yet to have a special protection racket is pedophilia.
It is National Today, which tracks “fun holidays and special moments on the cultural calendar,” that confirmed the city’s new law provides protections for “other nontraditional family arrangements.”
“The city council unanimously voted to add ‘diverse family and relationship structures’ to its anti-bias and housing rules, protecting consensually nonmonogamous relationships alongside single-parent, multigenerational, blended, and chosen families,” the report said.
The claims have been, the report said, that it is to address “stigma that polyamorous and other alternative family structures have faced in housing, employment, and healthcare.”
Advocates, the report confirmed, have intentions of expanding the ideology statewide.
Council member Robert Vanderpool said, in the report, the change gives Olympia residents “expanded civil liberties they didn’t have before.”
A report on the scheme posted at PJMedia said it’s just another attempt “to destroy the traditional Western family.”
“It pushes the idea that men with three or four wives, men living with teenage boys, and ‘non-normative,’ loving relationships are just like a family with the Western, biblically-based trad home of a mom and dad,” the report mocked. “This is the beginning of another trend to move the leftist goalposts. A new battleground. A new ‘fight’ — and remember, ‘there is only the fight.’ It’s a trend in which the left begins yet another attack on the Western way of life, family, God, and community to ‘fix’ a problem where none or next-to-none existed.”
The report said the sudden ethics ideology comes from the Organization for Polyamorous and Ethical Non-Monogamy, or OPEN.
It insists on its requirement for “fair” treatment for those in “polyamorous and other non monogamous relationships, multi partner and multi parent families, multigenerational households, single parent by choice, blended and chosen families.”
They claim the plans are “only for ‘consenting adults’ — humans, not animals. Yet,” PJMedia said.
“When it all goes south, and Daddy can marry his pack of wolves, and you, Mr. Landlord, will be compelled to rent to him, they’ll remind us that they were never in favor of anyone marrying your Jack Russell terrier because they’re ‘ethical,’” PJMedia said.
“Don’t want to rent to some dude with four ‘sister wives,’ each with Only Fans accounts, in a family-friendly apartment complex? You’re screwed,” it warned.
Transgender activist Jesse Davis, who “lives in a nonromantic family structure with three other transgender women and two toddlers,” said it’s all about having “redress” in the face of discrimination.
