New York Attorney General Letitia James is being accused of mortgage fraud by the Trump administration. The allegation is that she improperly characterized a building in Brooklyn and listed her father as her husband on signed documents. James is also accused of listing a home in Norfolk, Virginia as her primary residence. This is an issue because she is required to live in New York as the New York Attorney General. All of this is a problem because of the allegation she levied against Trump which is also based in real estate fraud.

Letitia James accused President Trump of overvaluing New York properties to defraud banks in an effort to get more favorable loans. Many news media outlets and liberal politicians are accusing the Trump admin of revenge and playing a game of tit-for-tat due to the $500 million (and growing) lawsuit she waged against Trump and won. Trump has not paid the money as he is still appealing the lawsuit. Each day that he does not pay the money there is an additional $114,000 stacked on top of the existing debt.
