President Donald Trump was asked by a reporter if he would deport Elon Musk amid his criticism of the Big Beautiful Bill. Trump said that he doesn’t know and that he would look into it. That statement, of course, sparked a series of articles with a headline similar to “Trump may deport Elon Musk.” Such a thing is possible, but not likely. Elon is a naturalized US citizen although he was not born in the United States. It is possible for someone’s citizenship to be revoked in this instance, but it is not likely. Elon would have had to committed fraud or something to that extent for his US citizenship to be taken away.
